PRAYER OF TAHAJJUD AND TAHAJJUD PRAYER BENEFITS

PRAYER OF TAHAJJUD

Tahajjud (Arabic: تهجد) :

Also is known as the night prayer or Qiyamul Lail is an optional act of worship for followers of Islam. It does not include the obligatory five daily prayers. The Prophet Muhammad of Islam used to perform the prayers of Tahajjud regularly and encouraged his Companions to perform it.

Tahajjud prayer in the Qur'an:

They spend only a small part of the night asleep, and in the last hours of the night, they ask forgiveness. (Surah Az-Zariyat verses 16-17). Verse 64 of Surah Al-Furqan says, "The beloved servants of Allah are those who prostrate before their Lord and spend the night standing." Absolutely patient in the difficult test, steadfast, truthful, absolutely loyal. Sacrificing wealth in the way of Allah and seeking forgiveness from Allah for mistakes in the last hours of the night "(Surah Al 'Imran: verse 18).

Tahajjud Salat in Hadith:

Narrated Abu Horairah, "I heard Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say that the best prayer after the obligatory prayer is the Tahajjud prayer." In another hadith narrated from Hazrat Abu Horairah, Muhammad (peace be upon him) says that Allah descends to the nearest heaven every night when the last third of the night remains. He then says who are you to call me, and I will answer his call? Who will ask me for something, and I will give it to him? Who is there to ask forgiveness from me and I will forgive him? (Bukhari and Muslim)

Rules of Salat:

It is better to perform Tahajjud prayers in the last third of the night. However, if there is a possibility of not waking up, it is permissible to recite it after the Isha prayers, two rakats of Sunnah, and before Vitr. The minimum number of rakats of this prayer is two rakats and the maximum is 8 rakats. However, it is permissible to read more. Then perform Vitr prayers. The rule of reciting Tahajjud is to perform two rak'ats in two rak'ats and to meditate as long as possible with the long Kirat, long ruku 'and prostration. It is permissible to recite the Qur'an in both high and low voices. However, if it is the cause of someone's trouble, it is obligatory to read it secretly. It is permissible to pray in the congregation from time to time except during Ramadan, but not regularly.

Ali ibn Abdullah (R) ... Narrated from Ibn Abbas (R), said that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stood up for Tahajjud at night, he would recite the supplication: “O Allaah! All praise is due to You. All praise is due to You, Owner of all that exists, You are the light of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, All praise is due to You, Yours is the Eternal Truth, Your Promise is Ever True, Your Promise is True; True; Prophets are true; Muhammad is true, Resurrection is true. O, Allah! I surrender to You; I believe in You; I put my trust in You; I turn to You; Forgive me for all my past and present secret sins. You are the Lord of the past and the future. There is no god but You, or (in another narration) there is no mother except You.

Sufyan (R) has said, (in another source) Abdul Kareem Abu Umayya (R) has given additional narration in his narration وَلاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ لاِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ (part of it). Sufyan (R) ... Ibn Abbas (R) has narrated from the source.
